Выводы и перспективы дальнейших исследований:
Проведенный анализ современных
тенденций развития теории бухгалтерского учета в англоязычных странах позволил
выделить следующие этапы развития теории учета и их представителей (табл. 2).

Предложенная периодизация
позволяет определить тенденции развития теорий бухгалтерского учета,
разрабатываемых англо-американскими учеными на современном этапе, проследить их
влияние на процесс стандартизации учета.
Полученные результаты позволяют
установить, что в современных условиях не можно говорить о преобладании в
бухгалтерском учете какой-то одной теории. Доминирование позитивной теории
стало менее явным в середине 90-х гг., а тем более в условиях развертывания
глобализационных процессов, повлекших за собой значительное количество
контрпримеров, которые подвергли критике позитивную теорию. Как следствие,
произошла реанимация нормативного подхода в бухгалтерских исследованиях и его
постепенное усовершенствование с учетом критики позитивистов.
Существование такой тенденции
подтверждают проф. А. Риаи-Белькаой [32, с. 336], проф. В. Кам [23, с. 489] и проф.
Р.В. Маттессич [24, с. 42], которые рассматривая нормативную
и позитивную теорию в качестве парадигм отмечают, что учет является
мультипарадигмальной наукой, каждая из которых борется за принятие, даже за
доминирование в рамках дисциплины, и каждая из них не может победить, вследствие
чего бухгалтерский учет может быть мультипарадигмальной наукой на протяжении
многих лет.
